Why invest in
ATP’s Postural Correction Course

Personal Training Revenue Generation
  Client Retention
The information taught in the
Postural Correction Course (PCC) assists PT’s in interaction of club members on
the gym floor.
With the ability to identify
postural dysfunction and faulty movement patterns, PT’s have a great reason to
introduce themselves to potential clients. They can empower members by making
exercise technique changes, and armed with knowledge can walk the gym floor with
confidence.
This process helps build rapport
whilst highlighting the PT’s knowledge. This is the perfect platform to offer a
free taster session, PT consultation or postural assessment.

PCC also allows PT’s to re-evaluate
their existing client’s performance making appropriate changes to improve the
quality of their sessions and their clients PT experience.

Functional Exercise for Club Members
and PT Clients
Functional exercise has it’s origins
in rehabilitation. For this reason exercises not only require an element of
balance and movement in multi planes, they must also be performed with the
correct activation of agonist, antagonist, synergists and
stabilisers.

Functional exercises are commonly
performed in health clubs, gyms and studios with movement compensations; this
means that although they appear to be functional they are in-fact dysfunctional.

The Postural Correction Course
teaches L3 fitness professional how to assess for dysfunctional movement thus
allowing them to correct faulty movement and compensations to facilitate truly
functional exercise.
Advanced Training Philosophies (ATP)
learners also receive access to our extensive exercise library in which over 400
exercises and stretches are coached by ATP course tutors. The videos highlight
both correct and faulty movement technique to ensure all learners are skilled at
delivering functional exercises correctly.

Fitness Professional Personal
Development
ATP’s Postural Correctional Course
is accredited by Skills Active and the Register of Exercise Professional and has
been awarded 16 CPD points.
The course has a theory exam and
comprehensive case study to complete before a certificate of competence is
awarded. This ensures all learners achieve a minimum standard of competence and
will be effective in their
utilisation of
knowledge taught on the course.

Supports Sales Team Outreach and
Enhanced Close Rate
Most outreach takes the form of
fitness testing as a way of engaging the public. Blood pressure and body fat
testing is often inaccurate due to the equipment used or the conditions under
which they are performed.
Postural Assessments are different.
They look very professional and often highlight previous or current injuries the
participant has suffered. A well trained PT is able to identify risk factors of
injury and potential long term joint degeneration.
Postural Assessments can and do give
a wow factor to outreach and can educate potential members in to why learning to
move better is important and how your club and staff are the people to help
them.
Trained PT’s are also fantastic at
helping to close a potential member sale. They can empower people to give them
confidence that exercise is what they should be doing, and having a PT who is
able to perform quality postural assessments further highlights to potential
members how your club will improve the quality of their movement and
life.

Increased Effective PT Client
Programming and Client Progression
ATP’s Postural Correction Course has
a strong element of program design focused on how to effectively program clients
through progression, so their exercise programs reflect the requirements of the
real world away from the gym environment.
The real world is complex, so
exercises and the progressions of an exercise program need to reflect this
to
maximise the amount of
time exercising compared to time out living and enjoying
life.
If you exercise on two feet or
exercise statically the carry over to life is limited, after all in the real
world we call this type of position standing! We need to empower people to be
better at movement, and to move more to counteract the stresses of
an
obesogenic world in
which we live.

Increased Instructor Confidence to
Aid Member Interaction
If personal training is not the
focus of your business then member retention certainly is. It is a well know
fact that it is more cost effective to keep an existing member than to find a
new one.
Having L3 fitness professionals
confident in member interaction and able to offer relevant realistic advice to
members about how to move better, train more effectively and feel a sense of
achievement, is always going to help members feel your company cares about more
than their monthly / annual payment.
ATP’s PCC empowers fitness
professionals to feel they know how and why to talk to members, to not just
approach the members they already know, but the members they don’t, the ones
that need more help, the same ones that next month may resign there membership
as they feel like a number on the membership list, not a valued
customer.
As an industry we need to engage a
wider range members more consistently and ATP truly believe we are playing our
part to ensure our learners know the importance of this, and are armed with the
skills, knowledge and confidence to do their part.
