Stuart has more then twelve years experience in the fitness industry.  He has worked his way from a fitness instructor to personal trainer and from a health and fitness manager to a general manager.   

He has worked for most of the leading companies in the industry as well as some smaller high-end niche fitness providers.  Companies Stuart has worked for have included Matt Roberts Personal Training, Champneys Health Resorts, David Lloyd Clubs, Next Generation Clubs, Holmes Place, Esporta, LA Fitness and Fitness First. 

Over the last year Stuart has moved into the education sector and has been tutoring and assessing for AMAC Training and Discovery Learning as well as being a director of ATP-UK.  He has been involved in the delivery and assessment of L1 Exercise & Fitness Knowledge, L2 Children’s Health Related Fitness and L2 Gym Instructor as well as L3 Advanced Gym Instructor, Nutrition, Training in Different Environments and Lifestyles & Fitness Assessing.  Stuart has also been involved in the delivery of BTEC qualifications to sports coaches and instructors. 

Stuart’s own sports background includes playing rugby for several teams in Middlesex including Wasps where he was part of the colt’s team.  He also has a strong background in resistance training having been weight lifting for over 25 years.

Stuart draws from his own experience in the gym and his professional education to help the clients he trains and the learners he tutors and assesses. He has in the past trained professional international level athletes as well as weekend warriors to help improve their sports performance. 

He has also run success weight management programs for club members and has previously had a client published in “Men’s Health “ magazine who also appeared on BBC1 to discuss weight loss after he successfully lost 50lbs of weight in 6 months at the age of 50yrs. 

Stuart is passionate about training to improve movement and performance whilst reducing the risk of injury or rehabilitating someone after an injury.   

His time is spent predominantly tutoring and assessing however he still trains a few select individuals where he can utilise his experience and passion for advanced performance in athletes or injured individuals.
